Following the death of my good friend Paul Dobbs just getting back on a bike was tough.

Chimay, Belgium - that was an easy one as it's the only overseas track I've ever raced!

Biography

PAUL OWEN started racing motorcycles in 1992 after watching and helping his father Gerallt race for many years. Gerallt's race number was 98, which is where the team name originates.
Gerallt still plays an active role in the team and helps Paul with mechanical advice and learning new tracks.

Paul started his racing career on a production based YAMAHA TZR 125 and since then has ridden many race prepared machines, a list of which follows:

Paul has raced allover the U.K. including IRELAND & the ISLE OF MAN and has also raced in BELGIUM.

Paul has 4 caps for his country, including being appointed captain of the welsh team; he has won 5 championships and has held the LAP and RACE records at 3 different tracks.
In one sesson Paul entered 28 races with:
23 X 1st places
2 X 2nd places
3 X 3rd places

Paul is very popular and highly respected rider within the road racing scene: he has maintained a high standard and is consistently amongst the top privateer teams in road racing.

In addition to his racing career, Paul was a mechanic for the HONDA BRITAIN RACE TEAM / VIMTO HONDA in 1998 and instructed at the RON HASLEM HONDA RACING SCHOOL in 2001, 2002 & 2003.

In 2009 Paul was selected to become one of the virtual racers in the “TT Superbike Challenge 2” Playstation game produced by Jester. You can experience some of the thrills of racing by riding as him on all 3 of his racing bikes at a selection of road circuits around the UK.
